授業方法

授業概要	Objectives: Students will be better able to write (1) grammatically correct (2) complex sentences and paragraphs that are (3) spelled and punctuated correctly. See the rubric for how you can get high grades. Outline: In “Game” classes, students in pairs or small groups play the games, reading simple sentences or making their own. As much as they are able to, students write their sentences and show them to the teacher. In “Action Picture” classes, students say stories about everyday actions and memorize 4 stories. The teacher helps students make good sentences and speak with good pronunciation. Students should pay attention to the teacher’s corrections so that they can learn from their own mistakes. (Try to write a-little-difficult sentences. If you write too simple sentences, you will not improve.) When there is time remaining in a class, we will listen to songs and read the lyrics or watch TV skits and read the dialogues.

1	Lesson 1. Q & A Card Game. Listen for information needed to answer questions. Try to make your original questions and answers. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
2	Lesson 2. Action English Pictures A. Talk about everyday actions in a series of picture stories.
3	Lesson 3. Action English Pictures B. Review last week and continue the stories.
4	Lesson 4. Action English Pictures C. Review last week and continue the stories.
5	Lesson 5. Action English Pictures D. Each student chooses 4 of the 16 stories and memorizes them.
6	Lesson 6. A-Z Alphabet Board Game. Make words to fill up a board of the letters of the alphabet. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
7	Lesson 7. Storyline Cards. Talk about your childhood and school days as shown on picture cards. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
8	Lesson 8. Three Questions Board Game. Answer questions as you move around the board. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
9	Lesson 9. Question Spiral Board Game. Make and answer questions as you move around the board. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
10	Lesson 10. Italy Cards. Make a story about a trip to Italy using picture cards. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
11	Lesson 11. Never Ending Story Card Game. Make a story about everyday events using picture cards. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
12	Lesson 12. Four of a Kind Game. Give original answers to everyday questions. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
13	Lesson 13. What Animal Am I? Card Game. Describe animals and their environments. Try to write your original sentences. Show your writing to the teacher next week.
14	Lesson 14. Meet with the teacher to tell 4 Action English stories and show the teacher your collection of writings. Movie Songs: Oklahoma! Oliver. The King & I. Easter Parade.

注意事項等	Homework: 1 hour per week. Write your original sentences and stories (10 hours). Memorize your 4 Action English stories for the test (5 hours).
